K-8 Afterschool & Camp Programming
AFTERSCHOOL: 3:00-6:00 PM
SUMMER CAMP: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Our afterschool program is based at our Ulbrich-Wallingford Clubhouse (72 Grand Steet, Wallingford). The Clubhouse is a second home to children and teens from across Wallingford. Generations of families have counted on us to inspire their kids to be the very best they can be – in a safe and nurturing place. Buses run directly from most Wallingford Public Schools to the Club. Afterschool programming is open until 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
On scheduled school holidays, we offer full day programming at our Ulbrich-Wallingford Clubhouse! Separate enrollment is required.
Tween Programming (Middle School)
TORCH CLUB: 6:00-8:00 PM (Fridays only)
Torch Club is a BGCA program focused on developing leadership skills while building relationships with other middle school students…while also having a lot of FUN!
In addition to leadership development, middle schoolers experience “open club nights” where middle school students get to hang out while engaging in low-structured activities, and also attend field trips. Our middle school programming is an excellent chance for middle schoolers to build connections with other students while engaging in fun activities led by adult mentors and staff.
This program is open to 6th through 8th graders, and runs from September through June at our Ulbrich-Wallingford Clubhouse. The Clubhouse is a second home to children and teens from across Wallingford.
Teen Programming (High School)
KEYSTONE CLUB: 6:00-8:00 PM (Wednesday only)
Keystone Club is a BGCA program designed specifically for high school students to develop leadership skills while connecting with other local high schoolers. Keystone Club supports high schoolers in developing skills needed in the workplace, creating resumes, practicing interviewing, and supporting academic success. A portion of the program is dedicated to exploring life after high school, including how to apply to college and trade schools, and how to apply for financial aid.
This program is open to high schoolers from September through June, and is offered at our Ulbrich-Wallingford Clubhouse. The Clubhouse is a second home to children and teens from across Wallingford. During this program high schoolers also have an opportunity to enjoy the Clubhouse’s many benefits from playing sports and games in the gym to using our virtual video game system, Exergames.
Sports & Recreation
We offer many sports through our Wallingford Clubhouse.
Biddy basketball is offered during the Fall , and is the perfect environment for youth to build basketball skills. Each player practices one time a week (Monday through Wednesday) and plays games on Thursdays. Practices and games are held after 6:00pm.
Travel/AAU Basketball is offered from Winter through Summer to middle school and high school players. Each team practices at least twice a week in the evenings and/or weekends. Tryouts for next year’s teams will be announced in early 2025.
