Join the Clubs!

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater New Haven provide a safe and inviting place for kids and teens, from Kindergarten through High School graduation.

During the school year, afterschool programs run from Monday through Friday until 6:00 pm. After 6:00pm most weekdays, special programming for middle and high schoolers is available!  Special programming for tweens and teens is in recognition of the critical needs faced by youths in middle school and high school. At certain sites, we are also able to provide before-care, with transportation to schools.

During the summer, we provide all-day summer camps from early morning until late afternoon for elementary and middle school students. High schoolers are invited to participate in our workforce development program, complete with training while being paid as a Jr. Counselor!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign my child up to be a member?

All club registrations for School Year Memberships, Full Day Programs, School Breaks, Sports Programs, and Summer Camp can be completed on the Parent Portal.

Please see the Membership or Program Registration Guides for step-by-step instructions on how to complete these registrations.

How do I get into my Parent Portal?

The Parent Portal is the hub for all parents to review and pay their account balances, see existing memberships and registrations, and sign up for memberships and programs. Your login includes your username – the email you have on file with the Club – and a password you selected.

If you do not remember your password you can select “Forgot your password?” to reset it. If for any reason you do not receive a reset link you can reach out to Membership at [email protected].

If you are a new parent or returning parent without a Portal account, you can create one by selecting “Need a login?”.

Please note: If you are a returning parent without an active portal, please use the email you have on file with the Club as the system will automatically attach you to your account, instead of creating a new one.

The link to the portal can be found here.

How much does it cost to go to the Club?

School Year:

Our School Year Memberships (September through June) are billed monthly; families are able to pay for the year up front if they choose. At registration, a stored card must be left on file for billing. Financial assistance is available through the Club, please see below for additional information.

  • Single (one youth): $150/month

When school is closed, we offer drop-in programming at all of our Clubhouses in New Haven, North Haven, and Wallingford. The hours are approximately 8 am to 5 pm (hours subject to change). Pre-registration is required and is typically open two to three weeks before the scheduled day.

Please note each full day program may come with an additional fee.

How can I make a payment?

Payments will be completed automatically, when we run billing the first Tuesday of each month. If your card is not able to be processed for any reason, you will receive an auto-email from the system informing you of your balance. Payments can be made via the Parent Portal.

Should you like to pay in advance via check, checks can be made out to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater New Haven (be sure to include your child’s full name) and mailed to 253 Columbus Ave | New Haven, CT | 06519. You can address the check to ATTN: Membership.

How do I cancel my child’s membership?

You are able to cancel your child’s membership should our program no longer fit your family. Cancellations must be submitted in the form of an email to [email protected].

All cancellations must be submitted within 30 days. For cancellations requested for less than 30 days in advance, you will be charged for the full month. Example: To cancel without charge for the month of April you must request by March 1st.

If you’d like to reinstate your membership before the end date, you will be charged for the full month’s program fee.

Like cancellations, these cannot be completed through your portal and an email request must be submitted to [email protected].

I need information for filing my Tax Return?

Families can generate an account statement on the Parent Portal.
