Director of Resource Development
The Director of Resource Development is responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to secure financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, government agencies, and special events. This role fosters a culture of philanthropy within the organization, ensuring adherence to sound fund development principles, donor confidentiality, and measured success.
The Director maintains a portfolio of major gift and corporate sponsorship prospects, develops new donor pipelines, and partners with the CEO on development activities in support of annual operating and endowment funding. The new Director of Resource Development must be equipped to lead and support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater New Haven (BGCGNH) in diversifying revenue streams and increasing sustainable income sources.
This role will supervise a Grant Writer, and—pending budget— a Development Associate who will manage the Annual Fund, CRM duties, and Events staff.
Director of Programs & Operations
The Director of Programs & Operations serves as a vital member of the leadership team at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater New Haven (BGCGNH). This role is responsible for developing and adapting youth development programs, based on the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s curriculum, while integrating findings from local community needs assessments to ensure relevance and effectiveness. The Director also leads the day-to-day operations of the organization.
The Director ensures the safety, functionality, and operational excellence of all Club facilities. They supervise three Community Directors, a Membership Director, and an Athletics Director. Oversight of a Teen Director may also be included, contingent upon organizational budgeting and funding availability. Together, this team delivers impactful youth development programs that promote academic achievement, healthy lifestyles, and strong character and citizenship for members ages 5–18.
