Price Rite’s “Feed the Children” program, started in 2011, is an initiative designed to combat childhood hunger by providing nutritious meals and food assistance to children in need. This program reaches thousands of children nationwide each year, making a significant impact on the fight against hunger and alleviating some of the challenges faced by families in areas where food insecurity is a persistent issue. The Feed the Children program is part of Price Rite’s broader commitment to supporting communities by providing access to nutritious meals and essential resources.

The Feed the Children program distributes food, school supplies, and other essential items to children across the country – and now intentionally invites Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater New Haven families. Just before the holidays, Price Rite’s “Feed the Children” program served many of our families in addition to others in the New Haven area, providing food and other necessities. This partnership provided 288 new backpacks filled with school supplies and snacks for BGCGNH members! 

The program’s impact in New Haven is notable not only for the immediate food relief it provides but also for the longer-term support it offers through educational resources and community engagement. By focusing on the needs of children, the program helps improve their access to food, education, and a better quality of life.
