We are thrilled to share some incredible news: During this year’s Great Give, our community came together like never before, raising a record-breaking $103,262 from 339 donors to support BGCGNH and the youth we serve across Greater New Haven.
This marks our most successful Great Give campaign ever, and it’s all thanks to the power of collective generosity.
What is The Great Give?
The Great Give is a 36-hour online giving event, organized by The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, to support local nonprofits making a difference across the region. It’s a time when neighbors, friends, and families rally together to support causes they care about—amplifying impact through community matches, friendly competitions, and donor challenges.
This year, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater New Haven set an ambitious goal: Raise $100,000 to support our programs serving nearly 1,600 youth in New Haven, Wallingford, and North Haven. And we did that – and so much more!
Here’s What We Achieved – Together:
- 339 donors, including 154 first-time supporters
- A total that exceeded our $100,000 goal
- BGCGNH ranked 4th in the leaderboard for funds raised (out of over 500 organizations!)
- Hundreds of community members who helped amplify our message by donating, sharing, and fundraising on our behalf
To every single donor, fundraiser, board member, and staff member—thank you. Your passion and commitment made this campaign one of the top-performing fundraising efforts in the region.
We are especially thankful to the local organizations and foundations that stepped up with generous matching gifts to multiply the impact of every donation.
Your partnership helped unlock thousands of additional dollars and inspired donors to take action!
How Will These Funds Be Used?
The funds raised during The Great Give will provide:
- Academic enrichment and tutoring for elementary-aged youth
- Mentorship, leadership development, and workforce preparation for teens
- Safe, supportive spaces for youth to grow, belong, and thrive
In a state where 119,000 teens are considered at-risk or disconnected, this campaign is a powerful step toward supporting youth, building stronger communities, and fostering stronger futures.
