1st Stop: Clintonville Elementary School

At first glance….

Last week, I visited the Clintonville Elementary School site in North Haven, where I witnessed the incredible eagerness of children to learn, play, form friendships, and connect with mentors—all made possible by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater New Haven. I was amazed by how their world is filled with new, exciting, and wonder-filled experiences, and I couldn’t help but reflect, “There’s something so pure about how they experience the world.”

A deeper connection...

One of my biggest takeaways is that we need even more resources to equip and empower our youth development staff with training and strategic planning tools to help channel children’s natural curiosity and enthusiasm into meaningful and engaging educational experiences.  Well-equipped staff create dynamic learning environments, model a love of learning, and encourage youth to explore new ideas with confidence. By strengthening mentorship, enhancing program quality, and incorporating innovative teaching strategies, trained staff ignite a passion for knowledge that empowers young people to embrace learning as a lifelong journey.

Join me on this journey…

As I embark on my first year, shaping the organization’s vision while building on its strong values and culture is a top priority. But I can’t do it alone—community engagement is essential to our success. I want to hear from you! Join me virtually to learn more about my vision for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater New Haven and share how you’d like to get involved. Sign up to have a virtual meeting with me!
